Hello everyone and welcome to my blog! I live far away from some of you (I miss you!) and it can be difficult to stay in touch at times. This blog is my attempt to keep you up-to-date with my life here in Oklahoma.

Rain again... But I did get some things done today... I did laundry plus I went to the post office with some bills. Wow! The boys are doing fine but got sleepy so I put them down for a nap. I have no idea what time Curt and Connie will arrive but they have a key so they can let themselves in. The table they are bringing may need some TLC but that is OK. I am still excited about it. We need a 'real table' for the house. Carson refinished the table we have now with Danish fruit wood oil and it turned out great. So the table may be a project he can take on. I have the chair (the one I posted a photo of) to take care of. So far I have only put a new fabric on the seat plus I made a pillow that I would like to put on it (I actually made a slipcover for a pillow that we already have). The fabric looks nice on the chair. I have another slipcover project for the future. I would like to make a slipcover for our couch. We bought the couch in 2002 so it needs some TLC as well. But that will be a project for the future. Perhaps for dark evenings in the fall? I need projects. I crave them. I would go crazy if I did not have a project to finish. Projects make me happy.

I forgot to ask, what project are you going to use your IKEA fabric for?

Oh! I have an area next to my kitchen where the washer and dryer are. This is an open area which you can see from the kitchen. Carson and I installed shelving above the appliances which we made into a pantry. I am making 'curtains' for that area so that you won't be able to see all the stuff we have on the shelves. I have had a different kind of fabric there before but the IKEA fabric matches the colors in the kitchen and the little laundry area. I finished in last Sunday and it looks kind of cute.

I love projects too, but I tend to be a bit of procrastinator about getting started a lot of times. And we KNOW Jacque loves projects, don't we?! : )
