SwedeThing

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog! I live far away from some of you (I miss you!) and it can be difficult to stay in touch at times. This blog is my attempt to keep you up-to-date with my life here in Oklahoma.

We had our Midsummer dinner this evening. It was great to get together and eat 'Swedish food'. I think I told some of you already that we were getting together with three other Swedish-American families. One family was not able to make it though. Victoria and her husband Mark came over (to the Eichman home) with their children Isak and Elina. We all had had new potatoes (cooked with dill), sour cream with chives, sallad, herring, bread and dessert (strawberries and cool whip). Oh! I forgot to mention steak! Not everything had a Swedish touch... I am so proud of Carson. He had a piece of herring. I am so glad that Victoria and Mark live here in Norman with their two children. It is so nice knowing that there is another Swede here married to an American.
